How we can help you

My name is Sophie.

I have been practising as a psychologist since 1998, and have significant experience in the public health mental health system as well as in my private practice.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Master of Arts (Psychology).

I am a registered psychologist, and accredited supervisor, with the Psychology Board of Australia.

I am also an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

As with any health specialist, ongoing professional development is critical.

I have attended many training sessions and conferences, both in Australia and overseas. These include ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) workshops and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MCBT) workshops.

Individual counselling

We all struggle from time to time - at work, in our personal life - and can benefit from professional support to find our way forward.

This isn't about finding one-off happiness; this is about creating opportunities for yourself to have a better quality of life.

We guide you through the process and give you you the skills and tools you need to make constructive decisions, and better choices, throughout your life.

Isn't that worth working for?

Couples counselling

One of the toughest challenges we face as adults is learning to love and live, either physically or emotionally, with someone else.

No one's relationship is perfect and, from time to time, many people struggle with the complexity that relationships can bring.

We help you address, and work through, struggles within the relationship.

Over a series of sessions, we will help you make changes to improve your life as a couple, and work better as a family unit.

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • emotional difficulties
